Behind The Lens

Location

Ridge Spring,Sc.. growing up in the Caribbean and being surrounded by water this cabin on the edge immediately spoke to me. The vibrant colors from the growth of weeds and the dam letting out it's stream enticed me to stop on the side of the road to capture it.

Time

It was mid afternoon while I was driving through new counties of my new home state of South Carolina. I'm a self taught photographer now using only an iPhone to capture scenic designs and landscapes of nature that my mind's eye sees as potential works of art.

Lighting

The time of day played a major role in the lighting and it's truly what caught my attention. It looked like a perfect watercolor with the sun shinning and the weeds looking like emeralds.

Equipment

My lens of choice routinely is my iPhone 11. Once I've capture the scene I adjust the coloring and manipulate the entire theme as I see once I'm back in my studio.

Inspiration

Completely different subject for me.. however the free flowing water and cabin positioned just on the edge made it an easy subject to ponder.

Editing

I use tools that help me energize the scene to show more depth of color and add a sense of wanting to go right there.

In my camera bag

Just my iPhone11 and occasionally a tripod.

Feedback

Just travel out to see the beauty of things right around you. The dullest objects, towns, farms, designs and landscapes I find do speak loudly once you start searching.
