Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in Oxford, Mass.,Clara Barton, in Worcester County. It is near Bartlett's Bridge which is an historic stone bridge, built in 1889, spanning the French River. My brother and I were just out for a drive looking at scenery with pictures in mind. It is afternoon and we had parked in a parking lot near by a state park.Time
This was probably taken mid-afternoon.Lighting
As always, having clouds in the sky makes for interesting shapes, shadows and tones of lighting.Equipment
Canon Power Shot G9, built-in lens.Inspiration
I take photos of things that catch my eye, usually because of colors, shapes or composition. This was one of composition and the feeling of serenity.Editing
Just some cropping to eliminate the rough edges. In my camera bag
I carry a Nikon Cool Pix in my handbag and the Canon with a wide shot lens and a digital 2X telephoto lens. Neither was used for this shot.Feedback
Take many pictures, choose the one you like the best and work with developing techniques, cropping or anything to maximize the exact photo you wanted to capture.
