Location
This photo was take near my home. A river, called "de Dommel" crosses through the middle of our village. The river makes the village special, because the raw nature can be found here.Time
This photo was taken in 2010 around 15:15u.Lighting
No, here I really was in the situation were I though, this is the moment, just shoot and let's see what it finaly will be on the foto. But it was amazing.Equipment
That time the digital equipment was not that advanced as today. It was shot on a 6MP DX sensor. A Nikon D70s with a simple lens. (f3.2 - f5.6, 28-70mm, which is 42mm in a DX crop) It was my first digital DSLR camera. Beside this camera I still used a F801s, becasue the dynamic range was still much better on film. I did not carry any other equiment that moment.Inspiration
Just the momet I was there. I saw it and though this moment I want to grab.Editing
I did just a little post processing to get the sky a bit more enhanced, so used Nikon NX-capture with -up oint technology for itIn my camera bag
Today I have a lot more and advanced equipement. But whatever I have, if the moment is not there, the shot is not there. Today I have the trinity series from Tamron (70-200mmG2, 24-70mmG2 and 15-30mmG2) and a Nikon 105mm f1.4 in my bag. I use tubes for macro photograhy and if I need addittional lenses I rent them. I rented al lot of different lenses but noticed that it is more a matter of mastering the equipement than having a lot of equipement. I use already 20 years Nikon, and I'n still on Nikon these days. My bodies today are Nikon D850 and Nikon Z6iiFeedback
Just walk and look around. If snow start falling, start to prepare yourself and your equiment and go. But also have look already upfront and check what nice places are around you.
