Location
My family and I had just moved to SW Florida. The Lee County Fair was being advertised, and we took our children. From what we could see from the long ticket line, many fun attractions awaited us. This reflection of the Ferris Wheel in a big pond between us and the fair grounds caught my eye, as we waited to purchase our tickets during the blue hour.Time
We arrived close to sunset. The legendary Blue Hour was fast passing as I took this picture.Lighting
The Blue Hour is a wonderful time to photograph reflections, giving images a mysterious blue cast.Equipment
I used my Canon SX 50 HS to take this photo. No other equipment was required.Inspiration
I was inspired by the opportunity to photograph the entire reflection of the Ferris Wheel, with all its colorful lighting.Editing
I brightened the image slightly. In my camera bag
I normally carry my camera, a lens cleaning cloth, some circular filters, camera manual, and several charged batteries in my bag.Feedback
As you look for photographic subjects, develop a list of recurring themes you wish to photograph. My awareness of REFLECTIONS as a recurring theme made me snap to attention when I saw this one!
