Lake Sabrina in the late afternoon

I purposely left these next few shots out to turn them into a small series. The light was so mesmerizing that I simply could not walk away. I call them rays of light.

I took these on my way back to Lake Sabrina from Blue Lake. At first I just wanted to get back to the lake as soon as possible so that I could catch the sunset, but the way that the rays of light kept brushing over the pines and aspens on the hillside stopped me every moment when I looked at them.

I am such a sucker for gorgeous light. And the colors. No need for further description.

Except that this was supposed to be 3 of 5. But I’ve changed my mind, and I’ll turn this into 3 of 3.
