Behind The Lens

Location

This was captured in my home studio in a multiple-image focus stack.

Time

Was captured in the afternoon, though the time of day in a studio is irrelevant.

Lighting

room lighting was used

Equipment

Nikon D5000, Tamron 60mm Macro, 66mm of extension tubes, tripod

Inspiration

I find macro photography to be so fascinating. Being able to make visible things too small for the human eye to see is so enjoyable.

Editing

The images were merged together in Helicon Focus, then the result was processed in Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop to adjust tones and craft the final image.

In my camera bag

Health issues have limited my outside photography, so the vast majority is captured in my home studio or on my smartphone in the local community.

Feedback

Be patient, especially shooting such small subjects. The process can be tedious and requires attention to detail.
