One more thing. The use of panoramic perspective much to this shot.

Wow! This one gets it. Aren't these the moments that are etched in memory forever? This is a classic nature shot.

I apologize for not answering sooner but I just saw this. Many of the photos are on shoots but many others are of my horses, friend's horses and at local events/races. I hope this answers your question!

Thank you. It sure helped that he stayed at that piece of driftwood for a long time.

Location
I took this photo on the edge of Cook Inlet in Alaska.Time
We were up and out before daylight traveling along the shore of the Inlet. Just as the sun started to break the horizon we came upon this little fellow, his sibling and mother. We stopped and just watched in the early morning silence. This cub found this piece of driftwood very enticing. He chewed on it, he scratched on it and then simply sat there for 20 minutes while totally ignoring us.Lighting
As the sun rose the lighting was perfect. A touch of rim light made for a magical photo.Equipment
Hand held Nikon D750 with 28-300 mm lens.Inspiration
How could you not be inspired to take photos of this cub. He actually posed for us. Magical...Editing
Very little post processing other than adjustments for exposure and cropping. As he remained here for 20 minutes we were able to get all the adjustments within the camera settings perfect. In my camera bag
I always have my Nikon D750 body, my everyday lens - 28-300 mm Nikkor lens and an extra battery. If I have something specific I am hoping to photograph I will add another lens specific to that particular subject and/or tripod to the mix. I usually never carry more than one lens when heading out to shoot as I tend to be a minimalist when it comes to carrying equipment.Feedback
This particular trip was with Joseph Van Os Photo Safaris. The only way in or out to this particular area is by bush plane. No roads in or out and boats were not conducive as the tide had 20' changes daily. But as it was our last morning only two of us went out. Luckily my favorite photos from this shoot were on this particular morning. The funny thing was my cousin lived right across from us on the other side of the inlet. She told me I saw more bears on this trip than she has seen in the 40 years she has lived there.
