I liked the contrasting colors of green and black on this ladybug against the pink rose.
It turns out, that this is a Cucumber Beetle not a Ladybug.
Then I was told, there is no such thing as a green ladybug.
What !!!?

I did some poking around on the internet; from what I found, that statement seems to be true.

If you see what could be a green ladybug, it is probably a Spotted Cucumber Beetle.
Ladybugs are round or oval in shape, and have colors ranging from yellow, orange, and pink to red in color, with short, stubby antenna.
Spotted Cucumber Beetles differ from Ladybugs in that they have elongated bodies, are pale yellow to emerald green in color, have 12 spots, and have long antennae.
Cucumber Beetles feed on the host plants roots, leaves, blooms and fruit. Ladybugs; However, are predators and feed on other insects, and other insects eggs, and larvae.
A single ladybug may consume 5,000 aphids in its lifetime.

The presence of ladybugs is perceived as a sign of goodluck and a healthy garden. So in this instance... Red is good,
and green is bad. LOL :)
