Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at Bonn-Röttgen in germany.

Time

The photo I took in the morning of sunny day.

Lighting

It was natural light in the morning. Sunny sky with clouts.

Equipment

Olympus PEN-F M-Zuiko 12-40/2,8 tripod Lee, Pol-Filter, ND graduation filter

Inspiration

I was looking for such a scene for a long time. What was important to me was a clearly structured horizon with a loose row of trees. From my point of view, it was very nice that the trees did not have too many leaves and that the sky had an attractive cloud cover. The picture has a symbolic meaning for me. It shows the connection that the trees make between heaven and earth. They are equally rooted in both elements.

Editing

The raw optimized for the exposure in Lighroom and then further processed for black and white conversion in Photoshop. Within Photoshop, I mostly use Photoshop's tools such as the channel mixer and gradient tools in the black-and-white conversion.

In my camera bag

My camera bag is always packed for the respective application (macro, landscape or architecture). Definitely my two camera bodies Olympus OM-D E-M1 and PEN-F are. In addition, the following lenses: M.Zuiko 12-40 / 2.8, Zuiko 9-18 / 4.0 M.Zuiko 75/18, M.Zuiko Macro 60 / 2.8, Leica APO Macro Elmarit R 100 / 2.8, M:Zuiko 40-150/2.8 Pro and other equipment depending on the application such. B. Macro carriage Nodalpointadapter, filter sets etc.

Feedback

I let myself in such premises still a lot of time to take in the surroundings on me. Seeking often for interesting perspectives and try a lot of. Over time, then come other ideas. Often I make the best photos at the end, just as the present.
