Location
The photo was taken in the Speicherstadt in Hamburg. On business I had a few days stay in Hamburg. Since I spent the whole day in meetings, I used the evening hours to look at the city and of course to take pictures. The motif shown here is the famous Wasserschlösschen, which enjoys great popularity with photographers. Next to me, 5-6 other photographers were busy photographing this beautiful building.Time
The photo was taken in the evenings. During my walks I passed the water castle several times. So I was able to photograph it from sunset to nocturnal hours several times in different light situations.Lighting
Depending on the time of day, this changed from natural sunlight to artificial lighting through the street lanterns, as shown here.Equipment
Olympus PEN-F M.Zuiko 12-40/2.8 TripodInspiration
Due to the different light situations and other influences by the weather, you will never find the same conditions. As a result, the results differ, sometimes dramatically. Due to the proximity of the sea, the weather here changes from fog to rain to the sun, and the wind also has a major impact on, for example, the surface of the water and the resulting reflections.Editing
I used the HDR function of the camera. The resulting RAW has been further developed with the means and functions of Photoshop. In my camera bag
My camera bag is always packed for the respective application (macro, landscape or architecture). Definitely my two camera bodies Olympus OM-D E-M1 and PEN-F are. In addition, the following lenses: M.Zuiko 12-40 / 2.8, Zuiko 9-18 / 4.0 M.Zuiko 75/18, M.Zuiko Macro 60 / 2.8, Leica APO Macro Elmarit R 100 / 2.8, M:Zuiko 40-150/2.8 Pro and other equipment depending on the application such. B. Macro carriage Nodalpointadapter, filter sets etc.Feedback
I let myself in such premises still a lot of time to take in the surroundings on me. Seeking often for interesting perspectives and try a lot of. Over time, then come other ideas. Often I make the best photos at the end, just as the present. In general, it is worthwhile to visit a motive more often and to photograph at different times of the day and the seasons.
