Location
The photo was taken in the beautiful Melbtal, a nature reserve in Bonn(Germany).Time
The photo was taken at 9:00 in the morningLighting
It was a sunny day. The mushroom stood in the thick forest in the shade. To create the effect, I lit the mushroom from behind with an LED lamp.Equipment
Olympus PEN-F, Olympus Macro 60/2,8, TripodInspiration
For some time I had the idea to make a mushroom appear like a small lamp in the forest. The shape of the mushrooms inspired me.Editing
The photo was a merge of two stacks. Each stack was taken of 15 individual photos, once with and once without LED lighting. These stacks were each put together. In Photoshop, the illuminated mushroom hat was then inserted into the unlit mushroom photo with the help of the layer-technique.In my camera bag
My camera bag is always packed for the respective application (macro, landscape or architecture). Definitely my two camera bodies Olympus OM-D E-M1 and PEN-F are. Suitable mushrooms with a nice and not too thick hat. You should be in a reasonably free but interesting environment. The lighting requires a high-intensity pocket lamp.
