Location
This was taken of the Tawhai Falls in the Tongariro National Park, New Zealand. They're also known as Gollums Pool, from Lord of the Rings movie seriesTime
It was midday but as it was an overcast day so lighting wasn't going to be an issue. It was a unplanned shot, just dropped in to see these falls as i was driving past.Lighting
Being an overcast day it helped create the suspense that these falls deserve and in hand made it easy to capture the shot without unnecessary sun glare.Equipment
This was shot on my Huawei P3, and I used the silky water setting to create the continuous flow look. Should have had a tripod but just had hold my phone as steady as I could on my knee.Inspiration
It was spure of the moment more than an inspirationEditing
Not that I recallIn my camera bag
I usually travel light with just my phone and have recently got some lense attachments that go in my bag as well if I have room. As I'm a adventurer there's usually more important things than a bulky cameraFeedback
A tripod is a must because any movement disrupts the silky look. Sunlight is always something to watch out for so peferably a overcast day or not too glary
