Location

This was taken at Tolaga Bay, East Coast, NZ. The 2nd longest wharf in NZ at 600m

Time

This was taken early morning probably about half an hour after sunrise with morning mist slowly rising off the ocean before the sun burnt it off.

Lighting

This was taken around 5 years ago, which was before I had really got into photography so nothing special here. Just as you see it.

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon PowerShot A300 IS. It was just a mid range point and shoot camera.

Inspiration

It was on a road trip and such a scene couldn't be missed.

Editing

I'm not that serious a photographer. I often just use my smartphone but my brother has a Canon SLR. Not sure on the exact model.

Feedback

You have to be up early to catch shots like this with the right air and sea temperature to create the mist and just be patient. Also early in the morning, the light is more photo friendly.When we first arrived you couldn't see the whole wharf. If I had the chance again with a proper camera I'd lower the exposure to create more epic lighting.
