This photo was taken in our driveway, in a rural area of Bowen, which is at the top of the Whitsundays, Queensland, AustraliaTime
It was captured late morning, however, the heavy cloud cover and rain made the light much softer than it would normally be at this time of day.Lighting
I did have an outdoor work light on a stand with me, so used that to provide a little more illumination on the subject.Equipment
A basic Nikon D3300 took this picture, with no other equipment besides the led light on a stand.Inspiration
Heavy monsoon rain in our area inspired the photo, I wanted to capture my daughter outside enjoying the rain, she was quickly joined by 3 dogs who splashed in the puddles with her.Editing
I converted this image to black and white in photoshop, added a bit of sharpening and probably some contrast.In my camera bag
A basic Nikon camera D3300, I like my 80mm lens and my 35mm lens for most occasions. Spare Sd cards and a mini tripod, is about all I carry.Feedback
Probably the best thing about this photo is the laughing emotion, I think if you wanted to capture something similar, put children and animals together outdoors, and watch your backgrounds. You need to be very quick on the focus button!
