View of Yosemite falls framed by foreground trees. The perspective showcases the power of the waterfall thundering and cascading from the dizzying height of the mountains. The contrasting colors of the sky, the mountains, and the trees,set against the blue and white of the falls, makes this image especially vivid and compelling. Such scenes always have deeper implications for me also. The droughts created increasingly by global warming are having a significant effect on the amount of water coming over the falls, and more importantly, the water supply essential to the ecosystem generally. I would like to think that people who value these magnificent scenes and who value preserving the balance of nature might be inspired to take an active role in opposing governmental policies and world leaders, such as the current U.S. president, who are blind and deaf to scientific evidence regarding the devastating effects of climate change, regarding those scientific facts is as a conspiratorial hoax.
