Photo of Bridal Veil falls from the tunnel overlook in Yosemite National Park. This scene has been photographed millions of times, but that's because it's such an iconic image, and I couldn't resist taking at least one more. I was impressed particularly by the awesome perspective as well as the vivid color contrasts at this magical moment when the sun was setting over the valley. My photographic choices often have social or political implications, and I like to think that photos like this one advocate support in some small way for conservation efforts to protect our national parks, especially now, under threats from our current president and his political administration to open up protected land preserves for economic exploitation.
