So, I'm not super in love with spiders, but they are fascinating, amazing little guys and this picture is insanely stunning.

I think they're fascinating as well. I just leave them alone and take pics of them. Thank you by the way!

I took this photo in my backyard just after the rain. The little spider was out, probably drying itself off, early waiting for breakfast.Time
It was a later in the morning just after the rain, about 9ish am.Lighting
I really liked the dark green backdrop showing through the web, it gives the web a lot more pop being on a dark backgroundEquipment
I have a Canon 70d. This was taken a few years ago so I'm not sure what lens I had, it was probably the 70-200 as that's my favorite lens.Inspiration
I've always appreciated a beautiful web shimmering in the sunlight with perfect symmetry. I think spiders are very fascinating to watch work.Editing
I put this through lightroom and used a bit of clarity on the spoder itself and a little bump overall to get the water to pop. Darkening the whole image a bit made the web really stand out. I did rotate the image for the best point of view.In my camera bag
When I head out I struggle with taking only one lens but I do limit myself to that. Cacon 70d and 70-200 2.8 usually. Depending on what I set out to shoot I'll pick either a prime or that zoom lens.Feedback
Overcast days are the best because the of the even light. It's ever better after the rain because you get these cool little rain drops that add interest to the photo.
