This photo was taken around the block from my house. There is a big field where we like to take our dog out to run and chase birds, (she never catches them).Time
The light was perfect in the evening and it was a particularly warm day for the winter.Lighting

I have photographed every foot of this field but rarely get to have these people and my dog included. This was my opportunity.Editing
Shadow and highlight adjustments were made in Lightroom with a tad of an exposure increase to bring out more detail. A bit of the clarity slider on the subjects was made to make them stand out.In my camera bag
I normally bring one lens with me to keep my creativity sparked, but I enjoy my 50mm, 70-200mm and my 24mm lenses the most.Feedback
Scope out the scenery ahead of time and follow the light. I've been to this field several times so I know how the light falls over the land, where the shade will be and where the sun peeks over the trees.
