Probably one of my favourite wine farms, Gabrielskloof. Close to Botrivier in the Western Cape. A truly amazing place.Time
This was taken smack bang in the middle of the day. Perhaps slightly after. Yeah sure golden hour or blue hour would be amazing but if you have an amazing subject it doesn’t matter, make the light work for you. Try angle the sun at a slightly 45 degree behind your subject but watch for shadows on the face, shades definitely help!Lighting
Midday photography? Why not. You just need to angle it. Sometimes the flat lighting from midday can actually be a great feature you just have to play with it and creat as much of angle as you can.Equipment

Spring! We have an amazing phenomenon that happens every spring up the west coast of South Africa, the blooming of millions of wild flowers. This however is canola, but also worthy of a snap if you can brave the bees and get in the middle of it. It’s not wild but it’s still pretty.Editing

Well it’s shooting at midday so it’s really tricky to make it look good but if you have an amazing location and a beautiful subject, snap away.
