My mind was uneasy
When I arrived at South Lake, the sky was filled with clouds. First and foremost, it concerned me that I may not be able to capture the Milky Way at night. The following day was the new moon, and capturing some good reflections of the galaxy traversing the sky in the lake was what drove me back out to the Eastern Sierra. I sauntered down to the other side of the lake where the sunset glow cast on the peaks, including Hurd Peak, in the distance would be seen. It wasn’t too windy nor the water was quite choppy. I was just thankful that the weather was holding up. But whether I liked it or not, my mind was uneasy with a thick layer of clouds slowly creeping in.
