Location
I took this photo in my front yard. The Goatsbeard grows all over the place.Time
I took this in the late afternoon. I love the warmth you get at that time of day. I never leave the house without grabbing my camera!Lighting
I positioned myself so the sunlight would be flowing through the seed head.Equipment
I use a Nikon 3300. It's the only equipment I use.Inspiration
I like to see the usual, the hidden, that which others overlook. I saw the seed heads and thought they'd look so neat with sunlight flowing through.Editing
I try to keep it simple. I cropped the photo to focus on the subject. I did a bit of lightening of the subject and darkened the already dark background. In my camera bag
My bag is just my Nikon. I would love to have a telephoto lens but until then, it's just me and my camera.Feedback
Go beyond the snapshot of a subject. Get down on the ground, I do! Look at all the angles and then start shooting!
