I took this on a warm January day on my patio, right on the stonesTime
about half an hour before sunset, which would be round 5 in GuanacasteLighting
The low sun through the leaves of the malinche was sof and charming.I just had to move things around till it was fineEquipment
a very Vintage 1971 55mm f 1.2 Nikkor, a D4. A bottle of tequila bought in Panamá, lime, sweet lemon, guanabana, mango and ginger from the gardenInspiration
the drink was near on perfect to my taste, it was warm and i decided to take a picture for a friend. the challenge was not to touch it. the lovely light did the rest.Editing
i post processed the left part of the subject with rate joy in a relaxed manner. After that, I imported the pictures, decided which one, cropped a bit and thought for 30 secs about mono. left it as it was. Good pictures don't need much fuffing aroundIn my camera bag
a 13 or 18mm wide angle, some vintage lens if I want special bokeh and soft light plus stunning colours. a 24-70 AF Zoom and a 180 AF Macro. A tele if needed, whichcan be 300 or 500, all vintage and manual. Oh yes. a nikon, D4 or D800Feedback
Take your time to mix and move the objects around in the sunlight. Do it in a relaxed manner, wait for the right moment when the sun is perfect and don't drink it till it`s done :)
