I took this photo in a small village in Dobrogea, one of the oldest parts of Romania, a place where many different ethnic groups live together for centuries.Time
It was a beautiful Sunday morning and I went to photograph a beautiful old church in a small village, and as I arrived the villagers started to gather for the morning mass.Lighting
I used just the natural morning light, but since the little girl didn't have any makeup on, I thought that the natural light was the best choice to capture her natural beauty.Equipment
I always use my old friend, the Canon 5DmkII. For this portrait I used the Canon 70-300LInspiration
I went there to photograph the old Church but the kids gathered in the church yard caught my attention so I ended up taking portraits instead... The light was just right that Sunday morning and the honest, natural beauty of the children in their traditional church clothes was inspiring. I don't usually make portrait photography but I took many portraits that day. This little shy girl with her honest smile really inspired me the most so I thought I would share this portrait with you.Editing
I didn't do much post-processing because I wanted to keep this natural look.In my camera bag
I always have my old friend with me when I travel, the Canon 5D mkII. I usually like landscape photography so I use the Canon 16-35L and the Canon 70-300L. I usually take a tripod with me as well, extra batteries and filters.Feedback
