in my beloved Kenya we camped in the Serengetti, excited to be so close to "wild animals" and not being able to sleep because of the outside noise we just stayed in our camp beds and listened. in the morning we were - obviously - asked if we had a good night sleep 'cos we had a full program. I mentioned that the wildebeast were rather noisy to which our host said...that was a lion who was "servicing" his newly acquired female. your photo illustrates perfectly the "mighty roar of the lion" and one can see and almost feel the fur. My compliments in capturing this animal and taking me back to a great time with the Maasai ☼☺
