Location
This image was taken in a park in Boca Raton, Florida. I loved the wooden deck and the colorful leaves in the background so this was a choice spot for us to shoot.
Time
Jackie and I started the day of early so we got to the beach before sunrise for the first part of our shoot. Then we moved off the beach to this location when the sun was up more. This shot was clicked at 7:45 am for several reasons...
1. There aren't too many people around at that time
2. The sun is not too high in sky
3. It gets really hot in South Florida, so I often like to shoot at the extremes...either really early or much later in the day
Lighting
This was a natural light shot so there weren't any modifiers used. However, I did up my ISO to 400 to compensate for the shaded area.
Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D600 with an 85mm Nikkor prime lens.

Inspiration
Jackie is one of my favorite subjects to shoot and she always brings a balance of sensuality and style to our sessions. She wanted me to capture something classy and sensual and I believe we accomplished just that!!
Editing
I did the usual skin smoothing (keeping it as natural looking as possible) and placement of the hair to cover any exposed parts. I also like to punch up the highlights in hair to draw the viewer's eye to the sheen.
In my camera bag
I have my trusty Nikon D600 Full Frame, 85mm Nikkor Prime, SB910 Speedlight, 80-200mm 2.8 Nikkor Zoom
Feedback
For a shot like this, it's really important to have a model who's comfortable. The technical aspect of the shot is important, but the mood is what will sell the shot. Try having your model look right at your camera and also have them look away. You'd be surprised how much of a different feeling these two poses can convey. I once had someone tell me that they prefer shots where the subject is looking away because it conveyed a less "in your face" vibe. For me, I always like to grab shots where the subject is looking directly at me and also looking away. This way I don't lose out on that one shot that speaks volumes to me!
