This photo is one of my favorites, it was taken in Lisbon, in the "Miradouro da Graça".Time
Is was taken at the end of the day, I was doing a bit of siteseeing with my family and my sister's family, and we stopped there just as the sun was starting to set.Lighting
The light was just perfect at that time of day, casting a beautifull orange light over Lisbon.Equipment
I used a Panasonic DMC-FZ38, with no tripod.Inspiration
I was just shooting the urban landscape of Lisbon when I spoted this girl, standing alone just enjoying the sunlight on her face, kind of like she was saying goodbye to that day. In that second I knew I had to capture that moment.Editing
This photo has almost no post-processing. Just a bit of shadows and saturation. The natural colors were already so warm that there was no need for more.In my camera bag
I've replaced my Panasonic for a Canon EOS 700D, and basically that's what I carry along with the 18-55mm lens and a tripod.Feedback
As this photo appeared on the spur of the moment the best advice I have to give is to be aware of everything that surrounds you and have your camera ready at all times. You don't want to miss that special moment.
