Congratulations! I like this composition as it is stands out form the rest of fashion jewellers and accessories. Gold is a very captivating colour and using black to contrast it is very effective. It brings out the essence of the jewellery itself and having th model to look away is also a great idea. Well done and keep int coming! :-)

Congrats on winning my "Eyecatching Jewelry" Challenge. The
photo is very dramatic and draws your eye right to the subject.

Location
This picture was taken at a photo studio in San Leandro Ca.Time
About 11am. As this was a studio shot the time of day mattered not at all in terms of lighting.Lighting
The lighting (and post production to bring out the light) was critical to making this shot. I wanted bodyscape lighting (lots of shadows) on her and a glow from the snake. As they were close together it was tricky getting a brightly lit snake and shadows beneath.Equipment
Full frame camera, 24-70mm zoom. two studio mono block strobes.Inspiration
I was exploring making beautiful fashion photographs using a lovely golden metal snake I found.Editing
Post processing was minimal as the shot was clean. No real cleanup needed. I did do a few brightness adjustments. In my camera bag
I carry as little as I can as camera gear can get heavy. Camera, lens, spare lens. Spare charged batteries, spare SD cards, model releases. Sometimes a spare body.Feedback
Work with you model. Get their inputs and ideas. Show them your work in process. Give them full credit (Thank you Venus de Sierra) and copies of your better images. And do that in a timely manner. I try to give the model at least one image the same day as the shoot (right after making my first backups) and all within a week.
