Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Studio 1764 in San Leandro. I rent time at that studio. Wonderful place!

Time

Mid-day. We did a 4hr shoot from 10am-2pm, with breaks

Lighting

Lighting was a strobe on the other side of her with a blue gel. I was experimenting with Bodyscape lighting for portraits and added the gel.

Equipment

Sony A7Riii and 24-105mm lens. I like the extra reach of the 24-105 over the 24-70.

Inspiration

I was experimenting with bodyscape lighting for portraits.

Editing

Very little post processing was needed. What I did was done with Luminar 2018. A wonderful program.

In my camera bag

I normally just take with me what I need. In this case camera, lens, pocket wizard, spare batteries and SD cards.

Feedback

Work with your model. Let them know what you are trying to accomplish. Show them the back of the camera every 3-4 shots. Encourage them to use gesture (the hand in this case helped a lot). This is a team effort, work as a team. The model was Whitney Masters. As she is a traveling model she may be available in you area. Wonderful model, great person!.
