Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Milton Of Campsie just outside Glasgow, Scotland.

Time

It was early one Sunday morning, maybe around 10am

Lighting

The light was awful. It was pouring with rain most of the time but there was some shelter under the tree canopy from the rain.

Equipment

I’m pretty sure I used my Sony Alpha A580 for this and I used two lenses a Sony 50mm and a Sony 70-300 F4 this shot I’m sure was with the Sony 70-300 F4 I did use a tripod.

Inspiration

The kids were just messing around and I asked her if she could climb onto the fallen tree and she did then instantly sat in this pose I captured.

Editing

Back when I took this my post processing skills were limited. So I would have maybe sharpened the image and adjusted the lighting.

In my camera bag

Now I use a Somy A7RIII my lenses are a Sony 55mm 1.8 a Sony 85mm 1.8 Tamron 70-300 f4 great lens! And a Sony 16-35 F4

Feedback

Yes! Even on a wet dull day like the day I took this image you can still use the natural light. Get out there and give it a go.
