Location
This photo was taken in our studio on a windy and uncomfortable late December day. Just in case anyone asks why we used a string of lights.Time
It was around early afternoon, daylight was still sufficient, but unfortunately no sun.Lighting
Besides the light from the window, the only other light source is the light stripe.Equipment
This was done with my oldie but goldie Nikon D700 with the AF-S 50mm 1:1.8G on f/2.2 – a very cheap but great performing lens.Inspiration
As I have worked with Marie several times before, we are always looking for new ideas and accessories. Since it was just before Christmas, the idea of a chain of lights came up.Editing
The RAW editing was done in Lightroom. The final editing, mainly Dodge and Burn and Color Grading was done in Photoshop. In my camera bag
Always with me are two camera bodies, a Nikon D700 (still love it) and a D810. I wouldn't leave home without my AF-S 85mm 1:1.4G, as well as the 35mm f/1.4 prime lens from Sigma. I needed some time to learn to love this lens. It took his time to cope with the somewhat unique look of 35mm in people photography. Next important thing is the AF-S 50mm 1:1.G lens – always a good choice.Feedback
It is helpful to start an experiment with light chains in not too bright environments. Otherwise, artificial light cannot exert its effect, even if they are LEDs. If necessary, you can use a more accurate ISO.
