Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken not far away from my home base. It's a former gravel mining lake.

Time

We started in the early afteroon, but this photo was taken around 5 P.M.

Lighting

We used two big zebra reflectors against the sun.

Equipment

Shot on the oldie but goldie D700 with my favorite lens, the AF-S 85mm 1:1.4G.

Inspiration

Our main target was to take something like high gloss swim wear and glamour photos for promotional use (Workshop Shots).

Editing

Some Color Grading and RAW Processing with Capture One, Beauty retouching work was done with Photoshop. Nothing special there, primary Dodge&Burn.

In my camera bag

Two Nikon Bodies (D700 and D810), a couple of lenses from 35 to 85 mm. For outdoor locations to bring a blanket and a towel is always a great idea. No special equipment or dirty tricks :)

Feedback

A Big reflector and a late afternoon sun are the essential things.
