Why no comments on this Beautiful Image? I am privileged to be the First.: ) Focus is wonderfully chosen, Monochrome is the right choice here Although this Model would look Great in either. The pose is very captivating and has an angelic feel Well done very beautiful.

Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken in our former Studio location, an old machine factory in Hanover, Germany.
Time
it was a cloudy Saturday morning, around 11 a.m.
Lighting
It's a pretty simple setup and only based on natural light through two big windows. I sit on the window ledge with wonderful Vanessa in front of me. Two fill shadows on the lower part of her face, I use a silver surfaced bouncer - that's it.
Equipment
This is done with the Oldie but Goldie Nikon D700 and my favorite prime lens: AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G.
Inspiration
This photo is part of a series done in black and white. All Portraits done on the same location and nearly under some conditions. I just want to take simple but impressive portraits – so far my knowledge and skills allow this goal.
Editing
Some simple steps in Lightroom to correct white balance and shadows. Retouch work done in Photoshop, like some skin corrections and Dodge&Burn. BnW Conversion was done with Alienskin Exposure.
In my camera bag
Two Camera bodies (Nikon D700 and D810),a few prime lenses like AF-S 50mm f/1.8G, AF-S 85mm f/1.8G and the SIGMA f/1.4 DG HSM A. I'm kind of addicted to bouncers. So a Sunbouncer MINI and PRO with silver and zebra screen are always with me, as well as a Lasolite Trigrip.
Feedback
Make sure your subject (model) is the star of your photo. He or she needs to be brightest object in your photo. Try to avoid direct sunlight and place your model as close as possbile in front of the window.
