Sunk in sea of shadows

With my camera gear in hand I started strolling down the Navajo Loop Trail, where I had hiked earlier. This time it was for the sunset. I found a spot where the sunset glow was cast on the the rim, far end of the basin, while all the hoodoos, including the iconic Thor’s Hammer, were sunk in the sea of shadows. Soon what filled the basin was the howling sounds of winds that got louder and louder as the temperature dropped by the minute.
