Lighting

Getting the right exposure is key when shooting a backlit Photo. I wanted it to be a bit contrasty but still show detail in the foreground so I exposed in between the foreground and background.

Inspiration

This was a specific trip to the desert to capture some images of the bedouins that live there. They were kind enough to let me follow them around for a day in the amazing environment they live in. This was a shot I was thinking about for a while.

Editing

Yes, the raw image was very dark so I needed to bring up the shadows and correct the white balance but nothing in photoshop, just some basic adjustments on lightroom

Feedback

It's good to preplanning images and picture what you want first. I regularly go on shoots that I research first. For this I learned a fair bit about the bedouins before I went out so I would have an idea of the types of images I might capture that would provide an accurate representation.
