I took this shot on a small tram in the ancient town of Medina, Malta. I saw the family getting on the tram behind us, hoping no one else would board the carriage in front of them, I anticipated this shot. Trying to be discreet with my camera, framing the shot within the leading lines of the carriage, I waited for that right moment when all the characters were adding something to the image in their own unique way, but also coming together as a 'family'. That 'decisive' moment you may say. I fired a few frames and this for me was the one that told the story. I decided to go with Black and white, it removed any distracting elements and gave the image a more timeless feel.
