Gossip

I was in the beautiful and enchanting town of Essaouira in Morocco, when I took this picture of a group of ladies gathered together around sunrise, its a fascinating place full of diversity and charm. i think these ladies reflect the atmosphere of the place, and I would love to know what they are chatting about. I have the image in colour also, and while some people prefer that, for me I like the timeless quality that black & white brings to the image, stripping the colour for me reveals more about their characters, the focal point of the image, and the graphical shapes within the frame. I timed the shot when the lady in the nigab was staring straight towards me, and thus editied in such a way that her eyes make-up the brightest part of the scene and create that central focus point. Anyway, I had been spotted, time to move on happy in the knowledge I had captured a beautiful moment of social interaction.
