This group of statues stands in a public park in Manila, Philippines and commemorates the martyrdom of Jose Rizal. He is the national hero for the independence of the Philippines from Spanish reign. As a Knight Commander of the Order of Rizal and not a native of the Philippines I wanted to see and learn as much as I could about Dr. Rizal while I was visiting the Philippines. He was an amazing man with great dreams for hip people and his country.
