My parents survived this place. My grandparents and most of my aunts and uncles did not.

Dear Ruth: Thank you for telling me about your family. I am so sorry! I very well knew the history of Auschwitz, but it never hit home with me until I visited there in July. It took my breath to see the place and hear the tour guide recount the Nazi horror. I am now traveling in Romania, Bulgaria, and Serbia--more countries with sad stories.
