While on a hike through Marguerite-D'Youville wildlife refuge with a friend I met through Nat. Geo., we were surprised to come across this incredible scene. They had received a record amount of spring rain, believed to be caused by climate change. This affects the wildlife and the nature within this reserve. I photographed Nathalie as she carefully crossed the flooded boardwalk to make her way deeper into the forest.
