I observed a most unusual event in my backyard and was inspired to recreate the occurrence using high key lighting. So using a drop of my cherry popsicle on a white textured surface I watched the ants come to drink the sweet juice. A steady flow of hungry ants fed til their abdomens nearly burst, as one left another took its place. I saw the pattern of a flower head in this natural abstract, so I added a grass blade to complete my scientific flower.
