On this piece of reserve land the indigenous owners have stripped some bark off a red cedar to use for traditional basket or clothing manufacture. As a visitor it hurts to see a wounded tree, but consider how it would have looked clear-cut in the traditional settler fashion, I like this image for its vertical stripes of tree bark, and background that echo the vertical area of missing bark.
