Went for a walk in the neighbourhood yesterday evening in mid June. I was excited to come across an orange peony shrub in full bloom. Its a variety that blows your socks off. There were smaller pink peony flowers nearby which just added to all the glory. With the reduced light levels of evening, the darker foliage sank into the background.
