Location
It was taken in one of the platforms of Bulethi Pagoda in Old Bagan, Myanmar.Time
One of my favorite shot I took in my solo travel in Myanmar. I woke up 4:30 AM. It took me an hour to reach the pagoda using an e-bike while pedaling through dark roads. It was very cold that time but I reached the pagoda before 6 AM. I remember this was taken at 7 AM.Lighting
Like the usual province in Asia, less pollution helped create a clear and crisp photo. I aligned the camera on the edge of pagoda to create a sun burst.Equipment
Taken using Nikon D750, Tokina 11-16mm lens and a Benro Tripod.Inspiration
Before I visited Bagan, I saw a lot of great pictures of Myanmar. I really love the idea of taking the view of Bagan with hot air balloons flying over it.Editing
My usual post processing technique is just adjusting the contrast, highlights, shadow, vibrance and exposure in Lightroom. In my camera bag
Everytime I travel solo, I used to bring two cameras to eliminate the need of changing the lens while in the location. Once camera is setup with ultra wide lens while the other one is equipped with an 85mm or 70-200mm for portraiture. I also bring one tripod in case I need to capture landscape or self portrait.Feedback
There are too many subjects to capture and cover around Bagan. You only need to interact with the locals which would help you find a good spot and vantage point of an area. I met 2 young kids and 1 vendor which taught me where to go and take the photos. Burmese are nice people!
