We in the far north experience not only truly long days in summer but get to enjoy sunsets that literally can drag on for hours. Officially this evening in Anchorage the sun set at 10:54 pm, and yet here it is two hours later, almost 1 am in the morning and the sun's rays are still evident. The sunsets will continue to stretch out longer and longer until the summer solstice a month from now.
