The sky was cobalt blue. The dirt so dry, so hot so red. The mountains made their presence known in shades of purples, blues and browns. The West is vast, the east is dry, the north holds nothing and the south is severe. A desert wind picks up. It burns my flesh and stings my eyes. This land is extreme, this land is forever, this land is the beginning of the Namib.
