In early 2016, international artist Konstantin Dimopoulis, with the help of volunteers, painted three sections of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens with blue trees. They used "biologically-safe, water-based ultramarine mineral pigment. The painted trees will be displayed... as a public art installation to raise awareness for trees and their importance to our city and its citizens. The trees will revert back to their natural color within a six-month period..." (credit EU Jacksonville). As I was passing one of the paths, I saw this opening in the landscaping and loved how magical the scene looked. It reminded me of looking through the keyhole at the new Secret Garden!
