At the Lakota Wolf Preserve in Columbia, New Jersey as part of a photo trip with Unique Photo in Fairfield. It was a very special trip!Time
This was early morning. We got to the Preserve around 7 AM and shot until 9 AM or so.Lighting
It was fairly cloudy, so I shot at about 800 ISO.Equipment
This was shot on a NIkon D80. Hand held. I had on my 150-300 lens.Inspiration
I have always been fascinated by wolves and am in awe of their beauty and majesty. While taking pictures of some wolves in the back of the area, I heard a stirring howl, very close by. I quickly turned my camera in the direction of the sound and there was Princess JoJo singing her heart out. I got a body shot and then this zoomed in close for this one.Editing
Not really, just made it a little lighter, perhaps. In my camera bag
I have 2 cameras now - a Nikon 5100 and a 7500. I carry 3 batteries for each and a number of memory cards. A 55-110 lens is in the bag and a Nikor 150-300 is typically always on the camera. I also separately carry a Tamron 150-600.Feedback
Be patient! You never know when you'll capture that moment. One of my professors also told me to avoid reviewing bulk images on the camera in the field as you may miss something important while doing so. Have fun and enjoy the moment!
