This green iguana was loose in a Cape Coral, FL, neighborhood in which my beautiful little protected burrowing owls are located. Neighbors were calling 911 for Nlle Monitor Lizards invading the neighborhood this year ... now even a loose iguana was trying to reach the owls.

Nice photo I did not know these were in the Cape Coral area. Nesting owls would be an easy target for these guys.....NOT GOOD! Between lizards and all the new homes in CC our little friends have some challenges ahead.

Great photo..but this is a green iguana not a nile monitor. The FL F&W state website- myfwc.com - has great resources and if you DO see a monitor that should be reported.
