Location
This photo was taken in the Eastern Region of Iceland. The image was a challenge, it was cloud day, very windy. The sand was blowing so hard, I was protecting my lens. I waded out on the beach in an inch or so of water and held the camera as close to the water as I could.Time
It was around noon, no sun light in blowing sand. Had to watch the waves so I did not get too wet.Lighting
The lighting was very dim. Very cloudy, had to hand hold the camera due to the wind. Setting were 1/20 sec at F/ 16Equipment
Shoot with a Canon EOS 6D, using a canon E 16-35 mm F/ 2.8L II USM lens. No tripod or flash.Inspiration
Our guide was my model, shooting so close to the water it looking like ice. The light was so dark, it made the image almost look black and white. The black sand, water and mountains in the background were the key.Editing
Very little post-processing, the image came out great from the camera. In my camera bag
My camera is mainly Canon, 5D mark iV, 7D mark II; lenses canon 100-400 mm Zoom, 15 x 16 mm, 24 x 105 mm and 70 x 200 mm.Feedback
