Location
This photo was taken at a park called "Hamilton Pool", it is in Travis County, West of Austin. It is one of the great swimming holes in Central Texas.Time
The shoot was taken in April, just before noon. I was back in the cave shooting out to the day light.Lighting
I was using a fish-eye lens, standing in the back of the cave with the pool and outside light in front. The waterfalls were on the left, we had good rain and the flow was good.Equipment
Canon EOS 6D, with a Rokinon Fish-Eye 8mm CS II Lens and a MeFoto aluminum tripod.Inspiration
I wanted the cave affect using the natural shape of the pool.Editing
I use LR and a little HDR affect using Aurora HDR Pro.In my camera bag
Canon EOS 6D and Canon EOS 7D Mark II; Canon 24-105mm lens, Canon 100-400MM lens, Canon 16-35mm F2.8 lens and Rokinon 8mm Fish-eye.Feedback
Using a tripod is a must, with a good wide-angle or fish-eye lens to capture the complete area. Lighting is key shoot from a dark area into the light.
